Almond Joy Brownies

Almond Joy Brownies

I have a confession to make - I love brownies. And I also love coconut. This affection makes these delicious fudge brownies so easy to dress up with cut up Almond Joy candy bars - and a little extra coconut and sliced almonds for good measure. If you love coconut and chocolate half as much as I do, then you will absolutely fall head-over-heels in love with these brownies!

Almond Joy Brownie Bars

Ingredients:
  • 1 box fudge brownie mix (1 lb. 2.3 ounces)
  • Water, vegetable oil, and eggs (as called for on brownie box)
  • 1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/3 cup flaked coconut (optional)
  • 1 egg, slightly beaten
  • 6 Almond Joy candy bars (1.61 ounces), cut into small pieces
  • 1 cup sliced almonds

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350F degrees. Lightly grease 13x9-inch baking pan.

Mix brownies according to directions on box. Bake for 20 minutes.

In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together condensed milk, flaked coconut (if using), and egg.

Pour mixture over partially baked brownies. Sprinkle chopped Almond Joys over the top.

Bake 20 to 25 minutes longer, or until center is set.

Remove pan from oven and cool completely on wire rack.

Cut brownie bars into desired size and shape.

This recipe makes about 32 Almond Joy Brownie Bars.
