Chocolate Oatmeal No Bake Cookies
There are lots of variations of Chocolate No Bake Cookies and most of them are delicious. However, many Chocolate No Bake Cookies Recipes call for peanut butter, which can be a problem for those suffering from nut and peanut butter allergies, like my stepson, Mac. These easy Chocolate Oatmeal No Bake Cookies don't have peanut butter, so they're a great No Bake Cookie option for anyone allergic to peanut butter. It does call for a cup of chopped nuts, which are totally optional. If you are allergic to nuts, or just don't like them, leave them out. For some reason, Mac is able to eat macadamia nuts, so I love to add them to these No Bake Oatmeal Chocolate Cookies. These no bake drop cookies are quick to make. Just boil the butter, milk and sugar mixture for several minutes and combine with oats, chocolate chips, and nuts (if using.) Then drop into desired size no bake cookies and chill until they are set. As quick as these no bake cookies are to make, they are even faster to disappear! These cookies would be great with a cup of toasted coconut in place of the optional nuts too! Testimonials"I have been researching and trying a number of recipes to make a healthy cookie similar to one that our Gym coffee shop sells for $3.50! This particular recipe was adapted so instead of bars I made thick round cookies and cooked them just underdone so they were soft and chewy. They were a hit with all the girls. Thanks for the great recipe." |
