Easy Chocolate Brownies Recipe

  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 6 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1/2 cup coarsely chopped walnuts (optional)
  1. Preheat oven to 350F degrees.
  2. Grease an 8-inch square baking pan or line pan with foil that you then grease.
  3. In a medium bowl, combine the flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt with a whisk and set aside.
  4. In a large bowl, stir together the butter and sugar until well combined.
  5. Beat in the eggs and vanilla extract.
  6. Add the flour mixture and stir until just blended - do not over mix.
  7. Stir in the walnuts if you are using them.
  8. Spread the chocolate brownie batter evenly into the prepared pan.
  9. Bake for 30 minutes or until a wooden toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  10. Cool in the pan on a wire rack.
  11. Cut your chocolate brownies into desired size and shape.
