Weight Watcher Whoopie Pie Recipe

Vitalicious VitaTop Whoopie Pie RecipeAre you a fan of whoopie pies and looking for an easy whoopie pie recipe? Are you trying to watch your weight? Have we got a treat for you!

This quick and easy recipe is both satisfying and delicious.

I love, love, love whoopie pies, an old family favorite.

For those not familiar with traditional whoopie pies, they are soft chocolate sandwich cookies filled with sweet vanilla cream; a homemade Oreo Cakester, only better.

As a lifetime member of Weight Watchers, I sometimes prefer an indulgent treat that tastes great but doesn't blow the diet. But, it has to taste good and not be too laden with artificial stuff and chemicals.

I was so excited when I discovered this recipe for Freezy-Cool Whoopie Pies in the latest Hungry Girl Cookbook - Hungry Girl: 200 Under 200: 200 Recipes Under 200 Calories.

To make her Hungry Girl version of a whoopie pie, author Lisa Lillien uses a deep chocolate Vitalicious Vitalicious VitaTops and fat free cool whip to construct her weight watcher recipe for whoopie pies. Each treat contains only 115 calories and is valued at 2 WW points.

Since I prefer real food to processed, I usually splurge with 2 tablespoons of whipped cream instead of the cool whip but the choice is totally yours to make!

If you are not familiar with Vitalicious Vitatops you are in for a treat! They are Healthy Chocolate Muffin Tops that have only 100 calories and actually taste good! They are a diet lover's miracle. In addition to tasting great they are low in fat and high in protein (4g) and fiber (4 g) so they are amazingly satisfying.

I first learned about Vitalicious Vitatops through Hungry Girl and am hooked on the VitaTops and VitaBrownies.

How do you make the weight watcher whoopie pie recipe? Here it is...

Testimonials

"I have been researching and trying a number of recipes to make a healthy cookie similar to one that our Gym coffee shop sells for $3.50! This particular recipe was adapted so instead of bars I made thick round cookies and cooked them just underdone so they were soft and chewy. They were a hit with all the girls. Thanks for the great recipe."

Thanks,
