Hot Cocoa Chocolate Chip Cookies

Hot Cocoa Chocolate Chip Cookies

These "Hot Chocolate" Cookies are so easy to make. They are a lot like those easy recipes that begin with a cake mix or brownie mix, only these use packets of hot cocoa. The perfect treat to warm you up on a cold day!

Recipe for Hot Cocoa Chocolate Chip Cookies

  • 3/4 cup of dark brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup of white granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla
  • 1 3.25 oz of chocolate Jell-O pudding (keeps cookies soft)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 1/2 cups of flour
  • 4 packets of milk chocolate hot cocoa (Swiss Miss or whatever kind you like)
  • 1 cup of Jet Puffed Marshmallow Bits, or you can use 1 cup of white chocolate chips
  • 1 cup of milk chocolate chips
  • 1 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup of butter (2 sticks)

Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

In mixing bowl, add all sugars and butters (cut butter into cubes before mixing with sugar) and beat until fluffy.

Beat in vanilla, then beat in egg one at time.
Add flour and hot cocoa, then add in chips and marshmallow bits. Use a cookie scoop or rounded teaspoon.

Bake for 9 to 11 minutes.

Cool on baking sheets for 3 minutes and cool completely on cooling racks.

Makes 3 to 4 dozens according to what size you want them. Great for the falll and winter.

Drink with hot cocoa -- what a nice treat!
